The Oregon Institute of Technology is excited to announce a graduate teaching assistantship opportunity for students pursuing a Master’s degree in the United States. This scholarship provides an annual stipend of $10,000 and tuition remission of $7,000 for qualified applicants.
The opportunity is spearheaded by Christy VanRooyen, who is looking for a Master’s student with a keen interest in pollinator ecology. The selected student will investigate the changes in pollinator diversity, abundance, and floral resource utilization in relation to wetland restoration efforts.
Working alongside partner agencies and private landowners, the student will track pollinator diversity and floral resource usage in accordance with the National Protocol Framework for The Inventory and Monitoring of Bees and the Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program.
This research will contribute to developing effective land management strategies amidst the important restoration decisions faced by land management agencies in the eastern Cascade ecoregion.
