The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE), is offering a fully funded opportunity to 500 young Africans who are passionate about creating positive change across the continent.
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at UGHE supports students pursuing Master’s degrees in:
- Global Health Delivery (MGHD)
- Health Professions Education (MHPE)
This life-changing scholarship is designed to help bright African students especially young women, refugees, displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities gain access to world-class education, leadership training, and lifelong support.

Eligibility
To qualify for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at UGHE, you must:
- Be an African citizen (young women, people with disabilities, and displaced or refugee youth are especially encouraged to apply).
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
- Be 35 years or younger (exceptions apply for applicants with disabilities).
- Be committed to leadership, community service, and promoting health equity.
- Be talented and motivated but may have faced financial or social barriers to higher education.
