UNIBEN Post‑UTME / Direct Entry Screening Exercise – 2025/2026 Admission

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has officially released its Post‑UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening form for the 2025/2026 academic session. Eligible candidates can now apply for the admission screening exercise scheduled to take place on‑campus at Ugbowo, Benin City.

Application Timeline
  • Portal opens: Monday, 4 August 2025 at 8:00 AM WAT
  • Deadline: Midnight, Friday, 22 August 2025
Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Chose UNIBEN as first-choice institution in JAMB 2025/2026
  • UTME candidates must have scored 200 or above
  • Direct Entry candidates must meet JAMB DE entry requirements
  • Five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO or equivalent—including English Language and Mathematics where required—obtained in not more than two sittings
  • A valid email address is required before beginning registration

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official UNIBEN website: www.uniben.edu
  2. Navigate to the Application Menu and select Admission Screening (Post‑UTME/DE)
  3. Register using your JAMB registration number and a valid email address.
  4. Log in, complete the bio-data form, and supply additional personal and academic information.
  5. Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000.00 via Remita using an ATM-enabled card. Portal access charges may apply
  6. Preview and submit your application; no changes allowed after submission.
  7. Return online on Wednesday, 27 August 2025 to print your Acknowledgment Slip and Screening Invitation Slip, which includes your exam date, venue, and time.

Important: Submissions past the midnight deadline of 22 August will not be accepted.

Screening Schedule
  • The CBT (Computer-Based Test) screening will be held in-person from Monday, 1 September to Saturday, 6 September 2025, at designated venues within UNIBEN’s Ugbowo campus
Course Groupings

Candidates will be grouped during the screening by academic faculties:

  • Physical Sciences: Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Education – Physical Sciences, Technical Ed., Statistics (Pure)
  • Life Sciences: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Agriculture, Life Sciences, Education – Life Sciences, Veterinary Med.
  • Social Sciences: Sociology, Political Science, Library & Info Science, Guidance & Counselling, Special/Adult Ed., Early Childhood Ed.
  • Management Sciences: Accounting, Business Admin, Economics, Estate Mgmt, Statistics, Finance
  • Arts & Humanities: English, History, Philosophy, Law, Theatre Arts, Education – Arts & Others
What to Bring on Exam Day
  • Acknowledgment Slip
  • Screening Invitation Slip (which shows your schedule)

Note: Candidates should arrive at least one hour before their scheduled time. Mobile phones and calculators are strictly prohibited inside exam venues
