UNIPORT Post‑UTME 2025: Full Registration Guide

As of July 2025, the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially opened its Post-UTME screening for the 2025/2026 session. The registration and examination details below give you everything you need to prepare and succeed.

Key Dates & Deadlines

  • Application period: July 11 – July 18, 2025
    — Apply online.
  • Screening window: Shortly after closing—check your Photo Card for exact exam day and venue.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the screening you must:

  1. Have selected UNIPORT as your first-choice in your 2025 UTME.
  2. Achieved a minimum UTME score of 150.
  3. Be at least 16 years old by October 2025.
  4. Possess the required O’Level credits by the time of your screening.

Candidates who chose UNIPORT as second choice can apply, but only if they change to first choice before applying.

Registration Fee & How to Pay

  • Application cost: ₦2,000
  • Payment Routes:
    • Online via Remita (Visa, MasterCard, Verve).
    • Physical Pay-in Slip at designated banks (e.g., Access Bank, ECOBANK, UBA).

Once payment is made, you’ll receive an access code used to finalize your registration and generate your Photo Card.

Step-by-Step Registration Process

  1. Visit the UNIPORT data-capture portal.
  2. Enter your UTME registration number to retrieve your details.
  3. Generate and pay your Remita code.
  4. Return to the portal to complete your form.
  5. Upload your passport photo (red background).
  6. Submit and print your Photo Card a day before your screening.

Ensure consistency in names across all documents—mismatches may lead to disqualification.

Exam Format & Requirements
  • Traditionally consists of 50 multiple-choice questions answered in 30 minutes, covering subjects like English and Mathematics.
  • Materials to bring:
    • Printed Photo Card
    • O’Level certificate copies
    • Birth certificate or age affidavit
  • Prohibited devices: No phones, tablets, or other gadgets allowed in the exam hall.

Cut-Off Marks & Scores

  • UTME cut-off: 150
  • Historical data suggests departmental and screening cut-offs may vary; medical-related courses often demand higher scores.
  • Supplementary admission: Requires 160 UTME and at least 120 in Post-UTME.
