National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) Releases 2025 Nov/Dec NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC Examination Results

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the 2025 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examination results. The announcement was made by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, at the Board’s headquarters in Benin City.

Candidates’ performance

According to the Registrar, about 60 percent of the candidates scored five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics. He explained that the results were released 64 days after the final examination paper, showing NABTEB’s continued effort to maintain efficiency, transparency, and timely result processing.

Number of candidates and examination centers

A total of 61,591 candidates registered for the examinations across the country. Out of this number, 57,444 were ordinary-level candidates, while 4,147 were advanced-level candidates. This represents a 28.42 percent increase in candidate registration compared to 2024.

The examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres nationwide, which is also an increase of 13.92 percent compared to the previous year.

Performance by trade areas

The Board noted that candidates performed better in Construction, Engineering, and other miscellaneous trades than in Business-related trades. Overall, more than half of the candidates qualified as craftsmen and master craftsmen, which NABTEB described as a positive outcome for technical and vocational education in Nigeria.

Examination malpractice

On examination malpractice, 259 candidates (0.42 percent) were reported to have been involved in different forms of misconduct. The Board said this figure shows a slight reduction compared to 2024, adding that the improvement was due to better monitoring and cooperation with security agencies.

NABTEB’s commitment

Dr. Mohammed reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to improving Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Nigeria through innovation, partnerships, and improved examination processes. He also announced that registration for the 2026 in-school NBC/NTC examinations has started.
