LASU Notice on NELFUND Loan Refund Request for Affected Students

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced that students who are yet to receive the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) loan disbursement meant for them have been directed to begin the process for a refund of the 2023/2024 NELFUND loan paid to the University on their behalf in 2025.

The University management explained that affected students must submit a formal written request to enable the refund process to begin.

Where to submit the request

All request letters should be submitted to:

Office of the Senior Deputy Bursar
Faculties and Schools Unit
4th Floor, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building
Lagos State University (LASU)

Information required in the letter

Students are expected to clearly include the following details in their request letter:

Full Name
Matriculation Number
Bank Account Details
Phone Number

Required supporting documents

Applicants must attach the following documents to the letter:

School fees payment receipt for the 2024/2025 academic session (paid before September 2025)
NELFUND disbursement confirmation slip

Method of submission

The University emphasized that only hard copies of the request letter and supporting documents will be accepted. Submissions sent online or by email will not be considered.

Submission deadline

All documents must be submitted on or before Friday, 13th February 2026.

Students are advised to follow these instructions carefully, as failure to submit the required documents within the stated deadline may delay or affect the refund process.
