University of Ibadan (UI) Releases 2025/2026 Admission List

The University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria’s first university, has started posting its 2025/2026 undergraduate admission list after finishing the Post-UTME screening.

How to Check Your Admission Status

Right now, you can only check if you’re admitted through the JAMB CAPS portal.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to the JAMB E-Facility portal.
  2. Log in with your JAMB username and password.
  3. Scroll down and click on Check Admission Status.
  4. Click on Access my CAPS.
  5. Click on Admission Status to see if you’ve been accepted into UI.

Understanding JAMB CAPS Admission Status Messages

  • ADMISSION OFFERED: Congratulations! Your admission is approved. You can now say yes or no to the offer on the CAPS portal.
  • ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP): Your school thinks you should be admitted. The next steps are waiting for the Head of Institution’s approval, then a final check by JAMB.
  • RECOMMENDED: Your school has looked at your application, and it’s waiting for JAMB to finish reviewing it.
  • NOT ADMITTED: You have not been accepted yet. This could be because the school hasn’t finished their list or your application is still being checked.
  • PENDING: Your application is still being considered, and no decision has been made.

Next Steps for Those Who Got Admitted

If you got admitted, you should:

  • Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number you used to register on the JAMB portal.
  • After accepting, print your JAMB Admission Letter for your records.
Notice

If you’re using a mobile phone, you might not see the Admission Status option on CAPS. Many phone users only see the welcome message. To see the full page:

  • Change your browser to Desktop Mode.
  • Use Google Chrome for better results.
  • Go into Chrome settings and select Request Desktop Site to get the complete page.

Congrats to everyone who made the UI admission list!
