UNN Sandwich Degree Program for 2025 Academic Session

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has announced the commencement of its Sandwich Degree Programs for the 2025 academic session. These programs are designed to provide flexible learning opportunities for individuals seeking to advance their education during vacation periods. Eligibility

The programs are structured into two main durations based on the candidate’s qualifications:

  1. 4-Year Degree Sandwich Programs:
    • Eligibility: Candidates must possess a minimum of Merit in National Certificate in Education (NCE) or National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field from a recognized institution. Additionally, candidates should have at least five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
  2. 5-Year Degree Sandwich Programs:
    • Eligibility: Candidates with a Pass in NCE, Teachers Grade II Certificate, or ND are eligible. They must also have five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.

Application Procedure

Interested candidates should follow these steps to apply:

  1. JAMB Registration: Visit any JAMB State Office to register, selecting the University of Nigeria, Nsukka as the first-choice institution. This ensures that JAMB captures the candidate’s details and assigns a registration number, making them available in the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
  2. UNN Portal Registration:
    • After JAMB registration, visit the UNN portal at www.unn.edu.ng.
    • Navigate to the “Sandwich Registration” section and generate the “Sandwich Registration Invoice.”
    • Proceed to any commercial bank and pay the processing fee via the Remita platform. The fees are ₦5,000 for the 4-year program and ₦10,000 for the 5-year program.
    • Return to the UNN portal, complete the online verification form, and submit it.
    • Print the completed registration form and submit it along with academic credentials to the Sandwich and Evening Programs Unit, Office of the Registrar, UNN.

  • Aptitude Test: Candidates applying for the 5-Year Degree Program may be required to take an aptitude test as part of the admission process.
  • Application Deadline: The online registration will close on a date to be announced later. Candidates are advised to complete their applications promptly to avoid missing the deadline.
