WAEC Timetable for Nov/Dec 2025 GCE 2nd series

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has shared the timetable for the 2025 GCE 2nd Series (Nov/Dec) for private candidates. The exams will be conducted on computers. Here’s what you need to know, along with some important details to help you prepare.

  • Start of Exams: Friday, 24 October 2025
  • End of Exams: Thursday, 18 December 2025

The exam period is about 8 weeks long and includes project work, oral exams, practicals, and more.

What the Timetable Includes

Here are some things to pay attention to in the exam timetable:

  • Project Works / Practical Works
    Subjects like Basketry, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Jewellery, Leatherwork, Picture Making, Sculpture, and Textiles will have project or practical parts. The dates for these are set by WAEC.
  • Oral & Performance Tests
  • Languages and subjects that need speaking or performance (like Arabic, French, and Music) have their own time slots for tests. These are usually arranged by the Council and may not always be included in the main timetable.
  • Alternative to Practical Work
  • For students who can’t do practical sessions, there are papers that serve as “Alternative to Practical Work.”
  • Multiple Sets / Countries
  • Some papers are different for various countries. The timetable shows which papers are offered where.
