The National Examinations Council (NECO) has shared the timetable for the 2025 GCE (General Certificate Examination) / SSCE External exams. If you registered for the November/December session, please check the schedule, instructions, and exam rules.
Key Dates
The 2025 NECO GCE exams will start on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, and end on Saturday, 13 December 2025.
The timetable includes many subjects with details like subject name, type of paper (Objective, Essay, Practical), how long the exam will last, and when it starts.
For example, on the first day (26 November):
- Civic Education Paper III (Objective) — 10:00 am to 11:00 am
- Civic Education Paper II (Essay) — 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Some subjects have more than one paper on the same day (like objective and essay), while practical papers usually happen in the afternoon.

Important Instructions for Candidates
NECO has some important rules and reminders for all candidates:
- Photo Card/ID: Bring a valid photo card to the exam hall.
- Arrival Time: Be seated at least 30 minutes before your exam starts.
- Follow the Timer: If there’s a time difference between the exam and the timetable, follow the time shown on your exam screen.
- Extra Time for Some Candidates: Candidates who are blind or albino will get an extra 30 minutes for all papers.
- Allowed Tools: You can use a non-programmable scientific calculator for exams that need calculations.
- Prohibited Items: Do not bring electronic devices like smartphones, programmable calculators, smartwatches, or tablets into the exam hall.
- No Double Registration: Do not register at more than one center. If you do, your results could be canceled.
