Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) Begins 2026 UTME Registration

The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) has started registration for the 2026 UTME for all candidates, including those applying from outside Nigeria. Registration can only be done at JAMB-approved CBT centres. Before going to any CBT centre, candidates must first buy their JAMB ePIN.

Candidates who already have their ePIN are expected to download the JAMB registration template and fill it correctly before visiting the CBT center. The registration process will end on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

The official novel for the 2026 UTME is The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba. After completing registration at an accredited CBT center, candidates are entitled to a free copy of the novel. If it is not given to you, you are advised to ask for it.

Disclosure of Previous Admission

All candidates must clearly state if they have been admitted or matriculated before. This includes providing details of the year you previously wrote UTME or Direct Entry. Any false information or failure to declare a previous admission will lead to automatic cancellation of the registration or earlier admission. Candidates who were previously admitted but want to start afresh or change institutions are allowed to do so, but disclosure is compulsory.

Completing Your Registration

If your JAMB registration template is properly and correctly filled, you should not face any issues during registration. Before selecting your course and subject combination, make sure you have carefully checked the JAMB brochure.

To finish your registration, confirm that all the information from your template has been correctly entered on the system before printing your registration slip. Printing of the confirmation slip can only be done after biometric verification using your fingerprint. This fingerprint confirmation helps prevent errors, so candidates should carefully check their details before confirming.

Schools, institutions, tutorial centres, business centres, and cafés can also begin preparations to become accredited JAMB CBT centres and training centres for candidates. Interested centres can follow the provided guidelines to apply.
