University of Calabar (UNICAL) Post‑UTME and Direct Entry

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially opened its Post‑UTME and Direct Entry screening process for the 2025/2026 academic session. Here’s everything you need to know to get started:

Cut‑off Mark

  • The minimum JAMB UTME cut-off mark is 150 for all candidates across courses.

Eligibility

To qualify for the screening:

  1. UTME Candidates
    • Must have scored 150 or above in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
    • Must have selected UNICAL as First Choice, or change to it via JAMB and score ≥150.
  2. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
    • Should possess approved DE qualifications (e.g., A‑Level, IJMB, NCE, ND) and choose UNICAL accordingly.

Screening Fee

  • ₦2,000 non‑refundable via E‑transact or PIN purchase on the portal.
Registration Period
  • Opens: Friday, July 18, 2025
  • Closes: midnight on Monday, 11 August 2025.

How to Register

  1. Visit the MyUNICAL portal.
  2. Choose either:
    • E‑transact at a commercial bank to obtain a PIN.
    • Buy Post‑UTME PIN online via portal.
  3. Log in using your JAMB Reg. No. and the Transaction/PIN.
  4. Fill the online form and submit.
  5. Print screening schedule (for test date & venue).
Screening Details
  • The screening/test date will be printed on the schedule after form submission.
  • Candidates must bring:
    • Printed screening schedule
    • Original UTME result slip
  • Prohibited items: calculators, phones, smartwatches, bags, etc.

Important Reminders

  • Use valid email and phone number during application; incorrect info is at your risk .
  • Certain faculties (e.g., Medicine, Dentistry) require single‑sitting O’Level results.
  • False information will lead to disqualification .
Score Aggregation

Your final admission score = (JAMB score + Post‑UTME score) ÷ 2.
