UI Post‑UTME/DE 2025: Cut‑Off Mark, Eligibility & Registration Guide

The University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria’s premier university, has officially released the details for its 2025/2026 Post‑UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise. Cut‑Off Mark
  • UTME: The minimum required score is 200 in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
  • JAMB baseline: While the national benchmark is 150, UI sets its standard higher to ensure only competitive applicants proceed.

Eligibility Requirements

For UTME Candidates

  • You must have scored at least 200 in UTME.
  • You must have chosen UI as your first choice.
  • You must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025.
  • For Medicine & Pharmacy: a single sitting with at least 5 credits in relevant subjects.
  • Other programs: minimum 6 credits, which may be from two sittings.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

  • Acceptable qualifications include:
    • NCE, ND, HND, Cambridge A-Level, or a recognized Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Note: IJMB and JUPEB are not accepted for DE at UI.

Registration Process

Application Window:

  • Opens: Monday, 21st July 2025
  • Closes: Sunday, 17th August 2025

Steps to Apply:

  1. Go to the UI portal: admissions.ui.edu.ng
  2. Log in with your JAMB registration number as username, and your surname in uppercase as password.
  3. Pay the Portal Access Fee (₦3,000) and Screening Fee (₦2,000) online.
  4. Upload your recent passport photograph, O’Level results, and any relevant DE credentials.
  5. Print the payment receipt and screening slip for your records.
Post‑UTME Exam Dates
  • UI’s computer-based screening exam will hold 25th – 27th August 2025.
  • Exact date, venue, and time will be sent by email and SMS, so use a valid phone number and email address during registration.

  • Apply early to avoid technical hitches close to the deadline.
  • Provide accurate details — errors may disqualify you.
